Sulle isole volanti della regina Alice 2Lei 2011 si incontra con Art&Poetry (evento che viaggia per 22 diverse location in 22 settimane, con 22 poesie interpretate da 132 artisti, organizzato dal Museo del Metaverso)
Lora Lowenstark legge l’emozionante “Lamento di donna” tratto dal libro “Palermo è fimmina… con rispetto parlando” di Maria Cubito, che sostiene con gioia l’iniziativa ( Editore: Officina Trinacria 2009 ) . Un affascinante racconto di una donna che riesce ad uscire da una situazione di violenza, riprendendosi la sua vita con gioia ed energia, senza violenza e senza rabbia.
Carmen Auletta legge la poesia da lei scritta ” ‘A MANA SCELLERATA “che apre l’inaugurazione della decima settimana di Art&Poetry dove 6 artisti interpreteranno in opera la poesia di Carmen Auletta ” ‘A FANTASIA PITTATA”

Nun saccio si è cumparzo pe maggìa,
si nzuonno quacche vvota ce so’ stato,
o si tenenno mente a na fotocrafìa,
cert’è stu pizzo ‘un l’aggio cchiù scurdato.
Nce stanno lloco, oi né, na casarella,
quase azzeccata a na chiesella rosa
c’ ‘o mare annanze addó na varchetella,
menata ‘ncopp’â rena, s’arreposa.
Po’ na matina, quanno me scetaje,
stunata ancora ‘e chesta fantasìa,
nu fatto strano, sié, me capitaje,
venette a sti pennielle ‘a frennesìa.
‘A tavulozza ‘mmano se mettette,
sciglienno quase ‘a sola ogne culore,
e nun te saccio dì chi me mpunette
‘e fà ‘ntrasatta ll’arte d’ ‘o pittore.
‘A tela steva tèseca e felice,
tutta pittata mo’ ch’era vestuta,
ma po’, vulette pure na curnice
comme cullana all’opera fernuta.

THE PAINTED FANTASY
I don’t know if it appeared by magic,
if I have been there in a dream,
or if i have in mind a photograph–
but I have never forgotten it since.
It is a strange place, a little house
Almost hidden by a church in rose.
There is a sea where a little boat
is at rest, its oars slack, in repose.
Then one morning, when I awoke,
This image remained in my mind,
Strange to say, but it happened just so–
My brushes have a will of their own.
I sit down at the easel,
the colors select themselves,
and I know not by what guide
the painter’s art appears.
The canvas is happy and dry,
All prettied and dressed to go.
All it needs is a frame–
Like a necklace to adorn its fame.
